Copart fees have several components. Knowing each one before you bid prevents surprises when your invoice arrives.

The buyer agrees to pay Copart buyer fees for each vehicle purchased based on the final sale price, using the tables below. Clean and non clean titles are charged differently.

Internet Bid Fees

Gate Fee (also called load out fee)
A $79.00 Gate Fee is assessed to all Copart and DRIVE Clean Title purchases. This fee covers administrative costs and the movement of the item from the storage location to the buyer loading area. It is at the discretion of the location whether assistance is given in loading vehicles onto transport trucks.
A $95.00 Gate Fee is assessed to all Copart and DRIVE Non Clean Title purchases. All heavy and medium duty vehicles with item numbers 801 to 900 are self load only. Other fees may apply. Please contact the Copart or DRIVE location where the vehicle is listed for more detail.
Mailing Fee
One mailing fee covers getting your title and documents to you: $55 within the United States and $70 to Canada. About half of it is what Copart charges to mail the documents to us, and the rest covers forwarding them on to you by USPS Express Mail. For a different courier, overnight delivery, or any other international address, contact the broker for pricing and pay in advance.
Document Fee
A $145 USD fee is charged for every vehicle purchased, to process the vehicle documents.
Environmental Fee
A $15 fee is applied to each item sold with a non clean title, which covers precise handling and care in compliance with environmental regulations.
Additional Fees
If the vehicle amount and all applicable fees are not fully paid within 3 business days of purchase, including the sale day, a $50.00 late payment fee per vehicle is assessed. All vehicles must be removed from the Copart yard within the first three days of purchase, including the day of purchase. After the third day, Copart storage fees apply as follows:

Storage is charged on weekends and holidays unless the weekend or holiday falls within the first three days. Storage rates vary by location and can be found on the Locations pages at Copart.
Payment of Vehicles
Payments for vehicles purchased through Inloher are due within three business days, counting auction day. If the auction is on Monday, payment is due by 5:00pm EST on Wednesday. Payment must be made to Inloher by bank wire transfer only. No credit card, PayPal, personal or cashier check, Western Union, or similar system is accepted for vehicle payments. All vehicle payments must be made to Inloher, not to Copart. Under no circumstances may the buyer pay for vehicles at a Copart facility. If payment is not received within seven calendar days of the sale date, the buyer forfeits the security deposit and Inloher may cancel the sale.
Relisting Fee
If the purchase is cancelled for any reason, or payment is not received within seven calendar days of the sale date, Inloher may cancel the sale and Copart may relist the vehicle. The buyer agrees to pay a relist fee of $600 or 10% of the sale price, whichever is greater. This fee is taken from the security deposit paid in advance, and any remaining balance is billed to the card on file. The buyer is also responsible for all collection costs, including attorney fees and court costs.
Sales Cancellation Fee
The buyer agrees to pay a $300 cancellation fee for any vehicle purchased for $10,000 or less, $500 for any vehicle from $10,001 to $20,000, and $1,000 for any vehicle more than $20,001, if any purchasing party cancels the purchase for any reason or does not pay within the allotted time. The buyer authorizes Inloher to deduct this amount from the security deposit or any other payment made, or from the card on file. If declined, the buyer has two business days to pay by bank wire transfer while the membership is suspended.
Sales Tax
Florida law requires a seven percent sales tax on the sale price of a motor vehicle, mobile home, or vessel. For a sale in Florida by a Florida motor vehicle dealer to a resident of another state within the United States, the tax imposed is the amount that would be imposed by the purchaser home state, not to exceed the Florida 7% rate.
