💰 Financing

Yes, you can finance an auction vehicle

Traditional banks rarely lend on auction and salvage title cars, but several lenders do. SalvageReseller is not a lender: this page shows you real options for clean and salvage title purchases, so you can get funded before you bid.

Four things to know before you look for a loan

⏱️
Finance before you bid

Bids are binding. Get prequalified first so you know your exact budget.

📅
Payment is due in three business days

Auction purchases must be paid in full, so slow loans do not work here.

🏦
Payment is by wire transfer

Your lender sends funds to you or to us by wire. Credit cards and PayPal are not accepted.

🛡️
Your deposit is at risk

If you win and cannot pay, you lose your security deposit. Funding first protects it.

US buyers

Lenders that work for auction vehicles

Four options that actually fund clean and salvage title auction purchases. Compare rates and pick the one that fits your credit profile:

Made for salvage and auction vehicles

LoanCenter

A Westlake Direct company that finances what most lenders will not: salvage, rebuilt, flood, hail, lemon and clean titles alike. Salvage and clean titles alike are typically eligible; confirm with the lender. Prequalify online with no credit score impact and no SSN, with same day funding available. Good to excellent credit, US members only.

How it works

Finance your purchase in 3 steps

1

Get prequalified before you bid

Apply with your chosen lender and lock your budget. Add fees, transport and repairs with our fee calculator so your loan covers the real total, not just the bid.

2

Win the vehicle at auction

Bid with confidence up to your approved amount. When you win, your lender finalizes the loan against the purchase.

3

Wire the payment and take delivery

Send the full payment by wire within three business days, counting auction day. We release the vehicle, and you arrange pickup or a transport quote.

International buyers

Buying from outside the United States

US lenders on this page serve US residents only, but thousands of our members buy from abroad every year. Here is how the money side works:

1

Arrange funds in your home country

Local banks and lenders can often finance vehicle imports. Get the funds approved before you bid, the three business day payment window applies worldwide.

2

Pay by international wire transfer

We accept international wires to our Bank of America account. Send the payment right after winning, bank to bank transfers can take 1 to 3 days to arrive.

3

We walk you through it, in English or Spanish

From payment instructions to export documents and shipping, our team handles international purchases every day. Call (954) 671-0160 or contact us before your first bid.

Questions

Auction financing: frequently asked questions

Yes. Traditional banks usually decline salvage titles, but three routes work: a specialty lender like LoanCenter that explicitly accepts salvage brands, an unsecured personal loan that is not tied to the vehicle at all, or cash now and a credit union refinance after the title is rebuilt.
Some do, and credit unions are the most open to it. Expect a larger down payment (often 20 to 30 percent), a higher rate than a clean title loan, and requests for a mechanic inspection statement and proof that your insurer will cover the vehicle.
Payment in full is due by wire transfer within three business days, counting auction day. That is why prequalifying before you bid matters: same day and next day funding options exist, but approvals started after you win are often too slow.
Prequalification uses a soft credit pull, which does not affect your score. A hard pull only happens when you accept a final loan offer. LoanCenter prequalification does not even require your SSN.
More than the bid. Your real total includes the Copart buyer fee, gate fee, broker fee, transport and any repairs. Run your numbers on the fee calculator first, then add a margin so a slightly higher winning bid does not break your plan.
The US lenders on this page serve US residents. International buyers generally arrange funds locally and pay by international wire transfer. Contact us at (954) 671-0160 and we will walk you through the payment process for your country.
