How much is the registration fee?
You can register for $20 a month (the first month is free) or for $120 a year. The registration fee is non-refundable. Please read and make sure you understand and accept our Terms & Conditions (T&C) before registering to participate in car auctions.
How much will I pay for the vehicle purchased?
You will pay the vehicle sales price plus Copart and SalvageReseller.com fees. Copart Auction fees vary depending on the sale price of the vehicle, the yard where the vehicle is located and whether the winning bid is submitted during the Preliminary Bidding or the Virtual Auction. Please check the Fees page for details. The SalvageReseller.com transaction fee is $250 or 5% of the sale price (whichever is higher), for non-Florida residents, and $350 or 5% of the sale price (whichever is higher) for Florida Residents.
What is the security deposit for?
The deposit protects SalvageReseller.com should you fail to pay for the vehicle you purchased, as we are responsible for ensuring payment of awarded vehicles to Copart. The security deposit must be a minimum of $400 or 10% of the bid amount (whichever is higher), as the amount of your deposit limits the amount of your bid. You forfeit your security deposit if you are awarded a vehicle in salvage auction and do not meet all payment terms and conditions. The security deposit is refunded if you do not purchase a vehicle or if you request it upon meeting all payment terms. The security deposit CANNOT be used to pay for vehicles and must be paid in full before you can receive your Copart auction login credentials.
Am I buying the vehicle from Copart.com or from SalvageReseller.com?
You are buying salvage cars from SalvageReseller.com not from Copart.com. We are a Copart Registered Broker.
Do you ship?
We do not ship, but you can find shipping services, get an estimate or list your shipment at our Transportation services page.
How long does it take to receive the vehicle's documents?
Copart will send us the vehicle's document once payment has been made, unless the document is "pending within 30 days", if this is the case a (P) will be shown on the Title State/Type field on the vehicle information page. It also depends on how fast you send us the signed documents, the Power of Attorney (if required) and a clear copy of your driver's license, or passport if you are an international buyer. The vehicle must have leaved the Copart yard for us to mail the documents to the buyer.
Can I buy salvage cars for sale even if I don't have an auto dealer license?
Yes, you can! Our service is for the general public, and everyone is welcome.
If I cancel my subscription, do you refund the subscription fee?
No. We strongly suggest you to read, understand and agree with our TAC before registering. Our rules are very strict and non-negotiable.
How do I pay for the vehicle purchased?
Payment must be made via deposit in our Bank of America account or by wire transfer. No other form of payment is accepted. The payment must be received and cleared within two business days of the sale in order to avoid the $50 Copart late payment fee. You will receive payment instructions in the Purchase Confirmation email.
Can I see the cars for sale?
Of course, actually we highly recommend to always inspect the vehicles before bidding, you can even inspect cars for auction before registering with us. You can visit the Copart facility where the vehicle is stored Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.30pm. Please remember that ALL VEHICLES ARE SOLD AS "AS IS – WHERE IS". ALL OFFERS ARE BINDING AND ALL SALES ARE FINAL, this means that you are buying it "with all faults" and without any warranty or guarantee of any type, express or implied. Any information regarding the cars for auction provided by the Seller, Copart or us is for convenience only. It is your sole responsibility to ascertain, confirm, research, inspect, and investigate a vehicle and any information regarding such vehicle prior to bidding on it in salvage auction.
